Compston Family
It was twelve weeks on the day of our session, since this family had been told the news that Tarisse has been diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. The news that no one ever wants to be told. She is a friend to many, a mother to two little children and a wife to her husband she adores.
It took Tarisse 4 months to be diagnosed, after several appointments, scans, blood tests and then putting herseld in emergency until they worked out what was going on.
Tarisse believes in sharing her story, as she is a strong believer in spreading awareness of the importance of your health. In her own words, “Cancer can affect anyone at any age and if something doesn’t feel right with your own health, be persistent into finding answers.“
Her close friend, Jordyn, sent me an email wanting to give Tarisse something memorable for her. A gift for the whole family that can be treasured. Within days, we had her session arranged and the weather played along nicely.
This session was a way to bring a little light into their life during this big journey ahead. A session that captured their beautiful family, as they are right now.
As Tarisse is currently going through treatment, I am hoping that when she needs to look at a photo of her beautiful family, maybe one from this session, that she is flooded with positive thoughts. Reminders to give her the strength to push through any overcast hospital days, flooding them with love and brightness.
Her strength is one that will not be beaten. Tarisse - I’m so thankful our lives have briefly crossed paths and I was able to meet and capture an album for your loving family. xx
