This session celebrates a huge milestone - turning O N E!

What is a cake smash, you may ask? Well typically, a cake smash photography session is done around the baby’s first birthday, with the photos used for first birthday party invitations. Not to mention absolutely gorgeous memories for the little one as they grow up!

At 12 months old, babies show interest and are usually given their first taste of sweetness, their very own cake made for them to eat, play and well, smash!

Here, Ollie was given his first taste of the sugary goodness. The little facial expressions and interest he showed was adorable. Although he seemed quite focused on pushing the cake stand across the beach, his mum & dad helped him have a few bites of the delicious cake.

After his cake smash, he had a little wash off in a milk bath. Baths at this age are just so cute and fun, they can hold themselves up, splash, clap and giggle. Ollie’s session was completed on sunset, so we were able to capture that gorgeous dusk sky in the last frames of the day.
